Guest Designer – Ashley Ebben

Hello everyone! I’m Ashley Ebben and I am so excited to be guest designing for Trinity Stamps this month! I have been loving all the beautiful cards the Trinity team has been making with the new A Crafter’s Heart stamp set, and I couldn’t help trying one of my own!

I just love how versatile this set is! Instead of leaving all the designs in a heart shape, I decided to work my fussy cutting muscles to use the images individually and make a card that’s perfect for a crafty friend!

I started by cutting down some watercolor paper to make my background. I was all out of my favorite bright white, but I think the traditional watercolor paper looks nice too! I masked off the bottom portion with painter’s tape to make a nice line and got to work. I used a rainbow of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers scribbled on a palette to make overlapping watercolor “clouds”. I also splattered a bit of each color at the end. I removed the tape and splattered the whole piece with silver watercolor paint before die cutting it with the scalloped die from the Narrow Card and Bookmark die set and attaching to a black card base.

I stamped the large heart of crafty goodies from A Crafter’s Heart a few times with VersaFine Onyx Black ink on more watercolor paper and embossed with clear. I used the same Zigs I used for the background to color individual images, then fussy cut each image out. I am not a great fussy cutter, but I think they turned out well! I attached the images to the background in rainbow order, popping a few up with foam squares for some dimension.

For my sentiment, I die cut the hello from the Hello Senti Mini die set three times from black cardstock. I adhered them together in a stack and topped with Glossy Accents to match the shine of my embossed images. I grabbed the “crafty friend” from the Hello Senti Mini stamp set and stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black and embossed with clear. I finished with a few Boiled Sugar clear drops scattered around the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful and crafty day!
