Flower Basket Shaped Card
Hello, Trinity friends!! Brenda here with a card inspired by one of my mom’s concrete planters in her front yard!! I can hold my own with annuals, but my mom definitely has a greener thumb than I do!! We always buy our flowers for Mother’s Day and I’m always amazed how much better hers do than mine!

I began by die-cutting the card base from light blue cardstock using the die from the Egg-Shaped Card Die Set. I folded it along the score line, then reinforced the fold with a teflon folding tool. The basket from the Easter Basket Add-on Die Set was cut from light gray cardstock. It was blended with a bit of gray dye ink using a Shading Sidekick Brush, then adhered to the card base.

The bow and the smallest flowers from the Easter Basket Add-on Die Set were die-cut from pink and white cardstock. The other flowers and foliage are from the Wildflower Clippings Die Set. They were cut from two shades of green, pink, purple, yellow and white cardstock. I used Shading Sidekick Brushes to add some shading with dye inks, then arranged and adhered them with liquid glue.

I used a white gel pen to add some detail to the debossed areas of the bow and the two largest flowers. Star Dust Stickles was added to the flowers with yellow centers.

Finally, Pale Pink Bubble Embellishments were adhered to the centers of the small white flowers.

I chose to forgo a sentiment. I’ll add an appropriate sentiment on the inside when the occasion arises.
That does it for me today!! Thank you so much for stopping by!!
