First Bloom in Full Color

Hello Trinity friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with a card full of color, texture and blooms! I’m using one of the newest Trinity Stamps sets called, In First Bloom stamp set along with its coordinating die set as well as the Once Upon a Mime card stamp set. This card measures 5″  X 7″ and fits inside an A7 envelope.

To create this card, I started with a 5″ X 7″ piece of watercolor paper and and blended a color wash on the left and then splattered more intense color on the right using a fan-shaped brush and violet watercolor paints.

Here’s a quick look at the products I used for the background. You can see that my fan-shaped brush is just an inexpensive one. I used the black Silver brush for the wash. The brush holds a lot of water for a nice soft appearance.

Next, I stamped the florals and butterfly on Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock and colored them using the following Copic marker colors:

  • Greenery: YG03, YG00, BG23, BG10, BG10
  • Florals: V04, V00, RV00, RV02
  • Butterfly: BV000, BV00, V04

The images were die cut and adhered to the front of the card. A few of the images were attached using dimensional foam tabs to make them stand out a bit. Lastly, I stamped the phrase from the stamp set, Once Upon a Mime in the lower left corner to finish the card.
