Day 3 Sneak Peeks

Today’s Trinity Designers, Brenda and Emily are sharing floral card designs using new stamps and a stand alone die.

From Brenda:

Hello crafty friends!! Brenda here with you!! I hope you are enjoying the sneak peeks of the Fall Release!! It’s my favorite release yet!!

I combined the Pumpkin Candy & Floral Bucket Die with the Summer Bouquet Builder stamp set (& Dies) and Spring Fling Florals stamps (& Dies). The die-cut pumpkin is ADORABLE as a candy bucket, but I wanted to show that it can also be used as a floral container.

I began by stamping the florals and leaves from the Summer Bouquet Builder and Spring Fling Florals stamp sets onto Bristol paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and watercolored them with Zig Clean Color Markers. After they were dry, I cut them out using the Summer Bouquet Builder and Spring Fling Florals Coordinating Dies.

I die-cut the pumpkin from light blue cardstock using the Pumpkin Candy & Floral Bucket Die set, then added some dimension with Copic markers. For the background, Distress Oxide Inks were blended with the Trinity Blending Buddy Brushes around the outside of a kraft cardstock panel. I splattered on some diluted white gouache with a paint brush.

I played around with the arrangement of the flowers until I was happy with it and then picked it all up with Press ‘N Seal. This allowed me to add foam adhesive to the back of the pumpkin and bouquet as one piece. Liquid adhesive was also used to adhere the flowers together. The greeting, also from Summer Bouquet Builder, was white heat embossed onto a black cardstock strip.

I added some details to the flowers with a yellow gel pen and that’s it!! I LOVE how the Summer Bouquet Builder works so well with the Spring Fling Florals!!

From Emily:

Hi Friends! Emily here with a big Happy Monday Hello!! Are you enjoying all of the sneak peek projects! The Fall Release is AMAZING!! I agree with Brenda, it’s one of my favorite releases!

I used the new Summer Bouquet Builder to create Three Cards with just the one stamp set along with the coordinating dies and little help from my favorite Narrow Card and Bookmark Die

For the first two narrow slim line cards, I wanted to emphasize the long-stemmed sunflowers that grow along the fence in my garden. Each time I see those sunflowers, I can help but smile. They truly brighten the day. To create the card, I die cut the narrow scalloped card panel with white card stock and I created a matching card panel for blending by trimming a piece of white card stock to 5.5 x 2.5 inches. Now that I have this narrow card die, I have a stash of this size card panel all pre-cut. Then I stamped and colored the sunflowers and leafs with Copic Markers (For the flowers: Y13/15, YR12/61, E23/25; For the leaves: YG11/25/45 & G24). Then I die cut the images with the coordinating dies.

For the second narrow slim line card, everything was just about the same as above but all the pieces are die cuts. I added a Happy Birthday sentiment since I have a ton of Fall Birthdays to celebrate!

For the last card, I kept it pretty clean and simple and one layer. I stamped two different sunflower designs to the center of the card. Then I stamped the Hello Sunshine (also included in the set) in the center of the flowers. I added the cutest little clay lady bug embellishments and for a little extra pop and to “weigh” the design down a bit, I added my favorite striped washi tape and a few little green dots around the sunflowers and accents with white gel pen.

Thank you so much for stopping by!! Stay tuned tomorrow for more sneak peek inspiration from our Design Team! All of the product from the Fall Release will be available for purchase on Wednesday, September 18th!!
