Cozy Cottage Special Delivery

Welcome, Christine here with a slimline card that uses many of the stamps and dies from the new release.  I wanted to create a slimline card that is directly inspired by the striped airmail envelopes that I’ve received from my relatives in Europe over the years.  I used the Special Delivery stamp & die, the Slimline Striped Frame Panel die set and the Cozy Cottage Porch stamp & die set.

First I selected several pieces of cardstock in white, blue and red colors.  I added strong sheets of double sided adhesive to the back of each piece of cardstock prior to die cutting with the Slimline Striped Frame Panel die set so that I could paper piece each panel together.  Shown below is the result of die cutting 2 pieces of white cardstock and 1 piece of red and 1 piece of blue cardstock.  I love paper piecing and had fun putting these panels together.

I then die cut all the images from the Special Delivery stamp & die and the Cozy Cottage Porch stamp & die set and did simple copic coloring:

Bears, puppy and all wooden objects: E35, E34 & E31

Pillows: B97, B99 and B91

Plant: G24 & G28

Mail bag, shirt and mailbox: R14, R59, R46

Chimes: N3 and N5

Finally I used the second panel that I had made using the Slimline Striped Frame Panel die set and added it to an envelope I made using the Slimline Envelope Builder die set.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
