Bright Side Release – Blooming Bunch Birthday Card

Hello, my friends!!! Are you in for a treat today!!! The Bright Side Release is available NOW and we are celebrating with a fun, inspirational hop on Instagram!! After you finish reading about my card (& shopping!), head on over to IG to join in the fun!!

There are so many fabulous goodies in this release, I had a hard time deciding what to work with first…ha!! You know my love for flowers, so I eventually settled on the Blooming Bunch stamp set. I couldn’t wait to color these beautiful blooms!!

Let’s get to my project!!

I wanted to try some no-line coloring, so I stamped the Blooming Bunch image and a butterfly onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Fadeout Ink. After coloring it with Copics and adding some details with colored pencils, I cut the images out with the Coordinating Dies. A yellow gel pen was used to add the stamen back in to the pink flower.

For the background, I smooshed some Distress Inks onto my glass mat, diluted them with water and drug a panel of watercolor paper through them. I used Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Mustard Seed. I tried to be conscious of where I placed the colors, so my floral image would “pop”. Once my panel was dry, I used a paintbrush to splatter it with diluted white gouache and black acrylic paint. The floral bouquet and butterfly were adhered with foam adhesive.

The greeting, from A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything, was white heat embossed onto a black cardstock strip and adhered across the stems with foam tape. A few Crystalized Unicorn Tears Rhinestones were the perfect finishing touch!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! You can see the entire new release HERE.

Now, go on over and join in the fun on Instagram!! There may be a prize involved…just sayin’!! @trinitystampsllc

Have a great weekend!!

Brenda

  1. This is a truly lovely no line bouquet of flowers! Such a bunch; I wish I had these in my vase right now! I like the ink smooshing technique too! I always forget about that, I need to remember how fun and how great it turns out! Cheers Brenda to your bouquet of fluers!
