Boo Brew Trio
Hello crafty friends! This is Amanda from Twiddler’s Nook popping in with a super bright and fun Halloween card featuring the new Boo Brew dies and a twist on your Christmas supplies too! I hope you love it because I had a blast creating it!
To start things off I die cut all the elements for 3 different mugs from the Boo Brew set. I made the first pumpkin with the spider hanging off it and it hit me that this might work looking like a cauldron too! So I cut everything for the black mug but I like the texture of the strips so I added them for a tone-on-tone look. Last, I cut another orange pumpkin but used the jack-o-lantern face.
I used liquid glue and adhered all the pieces together and then switched over to create my awesome background. With all of the orange and black going on the most logical, fun color to me was slime green for a fantastic Halloween feel! So I die cut a lime green stitched slimline panel and pulled out my slimline snowfall stencil!
First I used a blending buddy brush and inked up a layer with green dye ink. At this point I was thinking of doing a second layer with darker green when it hit me!
Rina K Electro-Pop neon glitz would be PERFECTION! Okay, I got really excited about this part for sure! It’s so bright and awesome! Totally reminds me of some slime goo from a Halloween monster.
Because the slimline stitched panel is about 1/8″ smaller than slimline size, I created a black card base to tie in with the black elements on my card. I adhered the stenciled panel to that and started sticking my mugs down with foam tape for a little dimension.
I love how they all go together so well but they’re all different! Such a fun and cool combination!
Over the center one, I added a banner with a sentiment stamped from the Fa-BREW-lous stamp set. I stamped it in the same green that was used on the stenciling in the background. The banner is popped up on the cauldron mug with foam strips too.
I honestly think I could make these mugs for days and days and not get sick of them. They are so fun to create!
