A Holiday shaker card with Erica

Ho, ho, ho!

Welcome back to the Trinity Stamps blog. Today’s card is a shaker made with the Season Greetings Silhouette stamp set. Oh and hi, it’s Erica!

I’ve gone for a monochromatic colour scheme for this card, with some metallic accents. Both heat embossing and sequins wise. For shaker cards it’s fabulous to have sequin mixes already mixed and ready. It makes things so easy.

To start with, I cut a card panel out of white card stock to the size of an A2/5.5″x4.25″. On this I stamped a mountainous scene, using some mountain stamps with Distress Oxide inks. Going from the lighter to darker from the back, I started with Hickory Smoke in the far background. Next up Iced Spruce and finally Black Soot.

With the Black Soot I also stamped the deer and trees from Season Greetings Silhouette. Around the mountains in the background I also blended a little bit of Tumbled Glass using the Trinity Blendability brushes.

To turn this into a shaker card I cut out a stitch rectangle diecut out of foam sheet and a platinum textured card stock. As well as an A2 sized piece of acetate. All these pieces I layered up together and set aside.

The background needed a little something still, so I also heat embossed a sentiment on it. ‘Seasons greetings, warm holiday wishes from our family to yours’ from Season Greetings Silhouette set. The embossing powder is Platinum.

When all the different ‘card ingredients’ were ready, it was time to assemble! As well as add the sequins to the shaker compartment. I used a lovely mix called Black Tie Affair embellishment mix. Once it was all sealed up, the card was done.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting!

Lots of love from Erica
