Today, I am sharing with you my Mantle Banner. It came together really really quickly, thanks to the wonderful Slimline Paper Pad – Holiday Trimmings. The hardest part for me was choosing the patterns to use…! Once I made up my mind, I cut the slimline panels into triangles – some full length, some slightly shorter. Since I felt bad about so many off-cuts, I decided to make use of some of them also, and I think they add a bit of interest to the banner.
I adhered all of my elements in a symmetrical way. I used some wide ribbon from my stash as the “base” of my banner. Once the paper elements were adhered, I added a bit of bling: the golden washi tape is from my stash. I didn’t really want to make the banner too busy (there are already lots of patterns), so I opted for adding a simple and classy “Noel” in the very center.
To make my banner more fun and festive, I adhered some red and golden jingle bells to the biggest elements – the sound is wonderful, but I fear that the banner won’t make it until Christmas, as my kiddos keep playing with the bells! ๐
And that’s pretty much it! It came together really quickly, and it’s a surprisingly lovely addition to our Christmas decor – I was sceptical at the beginning, but once I I saw it around our mantelpiece, I actually really love it now!
What do you think? Will you be making one of those? By the way, thanks to the photos, you got to know two of our house Christmas Elves, and a little interactive gingerbread house that my 5 year old put together the other day – a bonus! ๐
Make sure to comment here, on the blog, and on our YouTube channel every day, so you are eligible for winning our amazing prizes!ย
As always, the full list of supplies can be found on my blog. See you again in 2 weeks!

Not only are the bells a great addition, but I love the different size flags making up your banner. That paper is so fun and festive, too! PS: Great job on the gingerbread house by your 5 year old!
I do love the bells! Sweet gingerbread house, shell love it. Watch out for those elves…..they’ve been known to be mischievous! Tee hee. These are the decorations that make memories, very very nice!
Unfortunately, I don’t have the supplies to make this gorgeous banner so will have to live vicariously through you and yours! It is spectacular! Adore the hues and the bells really are a fab touch. I like your elves especially the one on the right and the gingerbread house your 5yr old made looks super fun! Great decor project! ( Both the house and the banner!)
