You Make My Heart Race

Hello, crafty friends!! I have a fun card to share with you today that combines several products from the newest January Release!! (I was so excited to get started that I totally forgot to take process photos…forgive me.)

I began by stamping the images from the Wheelie Cool Stamp Set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink. I colored the images with Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. I stamped the flames onto the car with red ink, added some highlights with a white gel pen and adhered all of the pieces together with liquid glue.

For the background, I blended red ink through the Checkered Background Hearts Stencil using a Blending Buddy Brush. This set also includes another stencil with “x”es to be used along with the hearts to create a different background, but I only used the heart stencil. Once dry, the panel was trimmed with the second largest die in the Modern Embossed Rectangle Stack Die. It was adhered to a red cardstock panel which was die-cut with the largest die in the same set, then to an A2 card base with liquid glue.

The largest heart die in the Racetrack Heart Die Set was cut from black cardstock. I wanted a solid white background in the middle of the heart, so I just traced around the outside of the racetrack heart, cut it out inside the traced line with a pair of scissors, adhered it behind the black one, then adhered it to the front of the card with liquid glue. The sentiment, also from the Wheelie Cool Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. (There are many great sentiments in this set for different occasions!!) I also stamped the smaller heart with red ink and cut that out with the Coordinating Die. The race car, sentiment and small heart were all popped up with foam adhersive strips.

Be sure to check out the rest of the January Release!! It’s a great one!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you next Thursday!!

Brenda
