Winter Botanicals: One Stamp, Three Ways with Designer Emily M!

Happy Monday Crafty Friends! Today, I have for you three clean and simple holiday cards using my favorite Winter Botanical Stamp Set. To keep with the one stamp theme, I also used “one sentiment” from the Greetings of the Season 3×4 Sentiment Stamp Set

When I create multiple cards from one stamp set, I always like to pick a color palate to work with. For a traditional holiday feel, I went with deep greens and reds and also mixed in some bright red and green hues too. All of the cards, used different inks to create all of the pops of color. No coloring on any of the cards…all stamping which was really refreshing to just have fun stamping with ink.

There are so many greenery and floral images in this set, you could mass produce a ton of holiday cards with only this set and still have a huge variety of designs.

For my first card, I used the one greenery stamp to create a wreath image. Super simple: I traced a circle to a white card stock panel, then I stamped the greenery image in Rain Forest VeraFine Clair Ink leaving a little space in between. For a fuller wreath, after I made it around the circle with Rain Forest, I filled in the open spaces with the brighter Green Oasis VersaFine Clair Ink. For a little extra pop, I added Boughs of Holly embellishments and green and red ornaments (circles from the Let’s Party Embellishment Mix).

For my second card, I used a mixture of greenery but focused on the poinsettia  images. I used the Winter Botanical Coordinating Die to add dimension to the flowers and added a Fairy Rock Embellishment to the center of each poinsettia for a little extra pop.

For my third card, I used the holly and berries images for a Jolly Holly-Day card. Just a clean and simple one layer card using different shades of red and green inks.

So there we are friends, three holiday-inspired cards using the Winter Botanicals Stamp Set and Sentiment from the Greeting of the Season 3×4 Stamp Set.

I hope you enjoyed my post today and inspires you to stretch your stamps in fun new ways. I’ll be back next week, but until then you can find me on Instagram @popsofpaper. Be sure to stop by the Trinity Stamps Blog, IG, FB and YouTube channel for amazing design team inspiration all week long.

Big Paper Hugs!
