Welcome to the U.S.A Shaker Card

Hi there! Today I have this Congratulations shaker card up on Trinity Stamps blog. A friend of mine is becoming an American citizen and I thought it would awesome to use the LADY LIBERTY Stamp and create a congratulations/welcome card.

Let’s start! I cut two A2 panels, one from blue cardstock and the other from Glitter cardstock. I trimmed down the edges of the blue panel a little bit. Also, I cut three times a third white panel and using a square die, I run them all through my die cutting machine. This way, I created a window frame. Next, I stacked all the pieces and glued them. I placed it on top of the blue panel using foam tape and added some Rock Candy Confetti Embellishment Mix and White, Blue, Silver Sequins and stars. I closed this window by adding on top a piece of acetate.

My next step was to stamp the Lady Liberty stamp and some stars using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder by Ranger. I colored the images with Copic markers and added some Clear Wink of Stella to some areas of the statue. Then, I die cut the images using the coordinating dies. I placed the statue on the top right of my card and some stars around the window frame.

Finally, I used 4 different stamps from Trinity Stamps to create all my sentiments. These are the ones I used: Caffeinated Sentiments, Succulent Banner, Lady Liberty and the Decorate-a-Cake stamps. I stamped the congratulations sentiment on white cardstock using Soft Navy ink from Simon Says Stamp. The other sentiments were stamped on navy cardstock and heat embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder.
