Happy Friday, friends!! I am spending the weekend with my best friend!! She lives about 5 hours away and we get together for a long weekend every year during dear season!! She comes to my house one weekend and I go to hers the next!! It’s become a tradition that I really look forward to. We shop until we drop!! I hope to get some Christmas shopping done too!!
Speaking of Christmas gifts…do you send out thank you notes for the gifts that you receive? The Elephant Gift stamp set makes the perfect thank you card for Christmas or any other occasion!! Today, I have colored my elephant in the traditional red & green, but you could color it to suit your needs.
Let’s get to my project!!
I began by stamping the Elephant Gift stamp onto white cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored it with Copic markers and cut it out with the Coordinating Die. I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of green cardstock with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and matted it with white cardstock.
For the background, I borrowed a gift stamp from the Gingerbird House stamp set. I stamped it repeatedly on a panel of red cardstock with Versamark Ink and white heat embossed them. I added some tiny hearts to the tags with some white hearts from the Little Sweethearts 3mm Sprinkles. The elephant and sentiment strip was popped up onto the background with foam tape. A white gel pen adds some highlights to my elephant and a Fluffy Cloud Dust Bunny pom pom was the perfect touch for the Santa hat!!
I think this turned out so cute!! I can’t wait to make more in different color schemes!! How cute would this be in blue and pink for baby shower gifts?!?
Thanks for joining me today!! I hope you have a great weekend!! (I know I will!!!)
See ya next Friday!!
