Trick Rawr Treat
Hello, Trinity friends!! I hope your Thursday is off to a great start!!
Halloween is quickly approaching and I have a cute Halloween card to share with you today featuring the Spookysaurus Stamp Set!!
I began by stamping the dinosaur and sentiment from Spookysaurus onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink. I colored the dinosaur with Copic markers, then cut him and the sentiment out with the Coordinating Dies. I added shine to his eyes with a black glaze pen and highlights with a white gel pen.
I thought it would be fun to ink blend the background to resemble candy corn. I blended Mustard Seed and Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide Ink onto a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock with the new Trinity Blending Buddy Brushes, allowing the top of the panel to fade to white. Once it was dry, I die-cut it with the Argyle Stitch Background Die, then the second largest die in the Modern Embossed Rectangle Die Set. I also die-cut a panel of black cardstock with the largest die in the Modern Embossed Rectangle Die Set and adhered the ink-blended panel to it.
Spookysaurus was popped up in the center of the card with foam tape.
The sentiment was adhered with Gluefriend Liquid Glue.
I selected candies from Grandma’s Candy Jar Embellishments that matched my color scheme and adhered them with liquid glue.
I really love how this turned out! I think this would be perfect for a little boy (or girl) for Halloween!!
