Thanks A Watt – You Brightened My Day
Hello, fellow crafters and happy February 1st!! Brenda here with a fun thank you card featuring the Thanks A Watt Die Set and the Watt’s Up Stamp Set!! I’m a huge fan of punny cards, so I absolutely love these sets!!
I started by die-cutting a piece of white cardstock with the second largest die in the Clean Cut A2 Layers Set A Die Set and a panel of red cardstock from the largest die in the same set. I stenciled one layer of the Catching Some Rays Stencil onto the white cardstock using Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink and a Blending Buddy Brush. I applied gold glitter paste through the second layer with a palette knife.
Next, I did all my die-cutting from red and white cardstock, vellum and gold holographic cardstock using the Thanks A Watt Die Set. I blended a bit of Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink to the edges of the white die-cut light bulb with a Blending Buddy.
The sentiment, from the Watt’s Up Stamp Set, was stamped at the bottom of the white cardstock panel with red ink.
I stacked the panels and adhered them together with liquid glue, before attaching it to a top-folding white card base.
All the die-cuts were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue. The light bulb was popped up with foam adhesive strips and this card was finished.
I just love how this turned out!! Here’s another close-up…
Thank you so very much for spending part of your Thursday with me!! I appreciate your time!!
Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!!
