Thankful

Hi Friends! It is Dana here today and I am excited to be back sharing a slimline card with you all. I pulled out my favorite Slimline Series: Foliage Frame Die and created a card that is perfect for autumn. Let’s get started, shall we?

I started my card by running the Slimline Series: Foliage Frame through my die cutting machine with a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock. I then used my sponges for my Distress Oxide Ink and added ink around the edges of my frame. Little tip: I have a sponge for each color family of ink and sometimes I don’t add anymore ink to the sponge, I just use the leftover ink to give my project a more muted or softer feel. Once I was finished I splattered a little gold paint onto my frame and card panel.

For my sentiment, I used the Scripty Thanks Stand Alone Die. I die cut the word thankful from some gold glittered cardstock I had in my stash and I die cut the shadow from a piece of vellum. Such a great sentiment and I love the size and font.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed my card and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

Enjoy your day,

Dana

  1. Dana, great tip on the ink, using the leftover is a good idea for a soft look! I agree with you about the size of the font and the type, it is fab! Enjoyed your post!
