Stamping Together: Love Monster Valentines AND Winners!

Hello Friends and Happy Monday! Welcome to Stamping Together; a monthly Mom and Daughter Duo post. One of the best things about stamping and card making, is sharing this creativity with my daughter (the Pops of Paper Kiddo). I let her pick the idea & Trinity Stamps Product and we laugh and giggle our way to a few projects to share with you. We hope you enjoy our creative adventures!

This month we’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with handmade Valentine Pencils for the kiddo’s schoolmates (27 in all) using the ADORABLE Monster Love Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies. We picked up the pencils and erasers from the infamous Target Dollar Spot.

A little note from the kiddo:

“Hello and a happy Valentine’s Day! My mom and I took a very long time making these cute monsters on some pencils. Since it’s almost Valentine’s Day I had to make something for my class so this is what we did. I started out with coloring the monsters with my watercolors with all varieties of colors. After I watercolored all the monsters it was time to die cut all of them with the dies. After we did that we used glue dots and glued some erasers on the middle of the monster. Then we used bigger dots and cut them into quarters. Last I used one of my moms monsters for my teacher.”

A few more details from Mom:

To create the Valentine Pencils, we stamped all of the monster images on several sheets of Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and heat embossed the images with clear embossing powder. Heat embossing the images with clear embossing powder helps keep the color in the lines. The kiddo colored all the monsters with her new Arteza Brush Markers.

Then we worked together to die cut all the images with the Coordinating Die Set. Then we adhered the erasers to the monsters. To adhere the monsters to the pencils, we used extra strength Pop-Up Glue Dots. Easy-Peasy and lots of fun! To finish the cards, we’ll be adding little to/from tags to each of the pencils with ribbon and twine.

We hope you enjoyed our handmade Valentine gifts and it inspires you to use your stamps and metal dies in fun new ways.
