Sneak Peek Holiday Release-Hoppy Holidays!

 

 

Hi everyone! Von Marie here from Vonmariedesign and I’m excited to be on the blog today to share with you a Sneak Peek from the Treetops and Trimmings 2021 Holiday Release.  The Release will be available Wednesday October 13, 2021.

I made two Mini Slimline Cards using the New Mistletoads Stamp Set, Mistletoads Die Set, and Mini Slimline Geometric Die. These products are so great. The Mistletoads stamp set comes with everything you need to make some cute Holiday cards. The New Mini Slimline Geometric Cut Out panel die is so unique and beautiful. I will show you how I made these cards, let’s get started!

The first thing I did was cut out the Mini Slimline die out of white cardstock two times. I decided I didn’t want them white so I had some Nuvo Embellishment Mouse in Pure Platinum in my stash. I applied it with my fingers in different areas of the panels. Up close it’s really pretty.

I needed more color for my panels so I used some New Distress Mica Stains. I first sprayed both my panels with Winterberry which is like a pink red color. I then sprayed one of my panels with Distress Mica Stain Snow Flurries (blue color)and the other I sprayed with Distress Mica Stain in Holly Branch. (green color)

Next, I decided to ink blend white cardstock that I cut out with my paper trimmer. I used Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink for one panel and the other panel I used Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink. I used my Blending Buddy Brushes to ink blend my panels.

I stamped and heat embossed these adorable frogs, stack of presents, mistletoe, and sentiments from the Mistletoads stamp set with black dye ink and clear embossing powder using my heat tool. I colored my images in with my Copic Markers and cut them out with the Mistletoads die set. The green sentiment I stamped and head embossed it with Cracked Pistachio Distress Embossing Glaze.

Here is the Blue Mini Slimline card. I just glued everything with liquid glue and I added foam strips to the boy frog, mistletoe, presents, and sentiment. My panels were added to a 3 1/4 x 61/4 white heavy weight card base.

And here is my green Mini Slimline card. Up close those Mica Stains shine. I think the Pure Platinum Embellishment Mousse helped a lot. I popped up the boy frog and sentiment on this one. I didn’t use a mistletoe on this one for a different look.
