Sending you Sunshine

Hello my friends, first time posting in the Trinity Blog and I am super excited to be here and be part of this amazing team.

For my very first card for the blog I wanted to use a variety of stamps and I decided to go with the Encouragement text background stamp and the Sending sunshine stamp and die set.

I started off with my background, for this I decided to stamp the whole text using a brown ink so it would look softer. I went with Ranger Archival ink in Coffee.

I then proceeded to distress the edges using Distress inks in Vintage photo and Salvage patina. I just love the look of these two inks together. It gave my background a really cool worn out look.

Now it’s time to stamp and color the sending sunshine Stamp. I stamped it on a piece of copic friendly paper using ink on 3 blackout ink (my favorite!!) and proceeded to color each element of the image.

When I was done coloring I used the matching die and cut out the image using my gemini junior.  I foam mounted the back side of it so it would have some extra added dimension.

I placed my die cut image in the center of my background that was previously cut to 4X5.25 inches and placed the panel on a black mat that measured 4.1/8 x 5.3/8 and there added this to a A2 size white piece of cardstock.

Lastly, I colored the hearts using wink of Stella for some added shimmer and cuteness and embellished the background with some Nuvo drops in English Mustard, and I added some highlights throughout using a fine tip white posca pen.

Here is a list of the copic colors I used:
