Seasonings Greetings
Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today to share a card using Trinity Stamps’ stamp set named, Seasonings Greetings. This is one of the smaller (3×3) stamp sets, but it’s pretty darn adorable. I also created a video to show the process of this card. Spoiler Alert – I completely messed up the card just as I finished it and had to salvage it so you’ll also see how I get around my oopsie.
For this set, I imagined the seasonings sitting up on a shelf and I incorporated the idea into this card. I started out by drawing out the little shelves they were on but leaving enough room for the two sentiments that I planned on using.
I stamped the stamp images onto the middle shelf as is. For the top and bottom shelves, I played with a bit of masking for the seasonings so that they were in different positions and also removing their labels so the middle ones would stand out.
I used the Trinity Blending Buddy to test out a new red ink and they blended the ink soooooo nicely! I used red because I wanted to keep in the holiday spirit. Although this isn’t the typical “holiday” stamp set, I love that it’s unique. Once I blended the ink, I added water and gold ink splatter to give it a bit of interest.
So as you’ll see in my video, I had an oopsie but no worries, I fixed it with a workaround and I love the result. I know that people love traditional holiday cards featuring the typical winter critters and Christmas tress, but I adore that this one includes holiday puns to make them the perfect set for the holidays.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!
– Jeannie
Very fun!
