Seasonal Sweetheart | One Stamp, Three Ways with Designer Emily M.
Hello Friends & Happy Monday! I’m Emily M. and I’m so excited you are here for this week’s One Stamp, Three Ways post. This week I’m sharing three Valentine’s Day inspired cards using the adorable Seasonal Sweetheart Stamp and Matching Dies.
The Supplies & Color Recipe
- Stamps & Dies: Seasonal Sweetheart & Matching Dies + Stacking Hearts from Honey Bee Stamps
- Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaFine Clair in Glamorous & Charming Pink
- Embossing: WOW Opaque Bright White Super Fine Embossing Powder & WOW Embossing Pad.
- Copic Colors: RV17, RV23, RV29
- Embellishments: Sweet & Tart Heart Sprinkles & Peppermint Candy Confetti Sprinkles and Nuvo Sherbert Shimmer Glitter Drops
I Love You Coffee, XOXO
Isn’t this coffee cup the cutest thing!? Normally, I would have the little sweetheart hugging her coffee but I thought the image would make for a CAS style Valentine’s card. I stamped and masked the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added RV29 to every other cup and then stamped and heat embossed the little xoxo image with white embossing powder. Then I used Nuvo Sherbert Shimmer Glitter drops to “color” the remaining coffee cups. I stamped and heat embossed Love You to a black sentiment strip and adhered it under the coffee cups. To finish the card, I added three Sweet & Tart Heart Sprinkles and adhered the card panel with foam tape to red card stock.
Will you be my Valentine?
I love that the matching dies for the Seasonal Sweetheart makes just the right cuts to place all the fun little images into her hands. After coloring with Copics and a White Signo Pigment Ink pen, I tucked the little heart with the heat embossed xoxo into her arm. For the background, I used stacking heart dies to die cut the heart into a red card stock panel and another heart die cut from white card stock. I adhered the white heart into the red heart inlay and added the Love You sentiments. To finish the card, I adhered the little sweetheart with dimensional foam tape.
Love & Sweet Wishes
This was a fun card to put together. I love using little elements from cards to create backgrounds and I thought it would be fun to create a side background banner with the pinwheel sucker and heart images in the set. I used RV29, RV17 and RV23. For extra pop, I added Peppermints Candies and Sweet & Tart Heart Sprinkles embellishments to the banner. To finish the card, I added some red & white striped washi tape to the card panel and then adhered the background banner over the washi. Then I added the white heat embossed sentiment strips with foam adhesive to the card panel.
