Rainbows and Bicycles

Hello and welcome Trinity Fans!!  This is Shanna today from Caffeinated Craftiness with another Product Trio Tuesday!  Well, *almost* a trio!! LOL.

The newest Greatest Friend on Earth release has been so much fun to play and create with!  Today’s card is no exception as you can see!

Today’s Trio is:

Slimline Embossed Circles panel dies

Good Morning Sunshine layering stencil

Circus Bear 3×4 Stamp set and coordinating dies

Let’s start with the background.  I absolutely adore Trinity stamp’s layering stencil sets!!  I am a self proclaimed stencil junkie anyhow, and this new stencil stole my heart!  The rays layer to create such a dynamic background I couldn’t help but ink it up in rainbow colors!  I used a rainbow assortment of Distress Oxides in
Crackling Campfire
Spiced Marmalade
Squeezed Lemonade
Rustic Wilderness
Peacock Feathers
Salty Ocean
Dusty Concord

After the first layer was inked, I aligned the laser etching marks on my second stencil and used the same inks again.  Before I removed this layer, I grabbed one of the stencils from the Lots of Dots slimline stencil set and placed it on top of the Good Morning Sunshine stencil.  Then I used some Glossy Distress Texture Paste over both stencils.  This is a double stencil technique.  I will show a close up of the result below.  Full disclosure, the texture paste bled some and didn’t turn out as “clean” as I had imagined, BUT I do like the texture it gave anyhow!  The final result allows for a variate pattern of ink-textured-ink-textured and so on….So cool!

After the texture paste was completely dry, I grabbed the Embossed Circles slimline panels dies and selected the inner most trio of circles and the middle layer to die cut the panel and windows.  I saved the circles to keep my background continuous for my shaker card.  I did this by centering my die cut panel on my card base and affixing it temporarily with washing tape.  That allowed me to line up the circles with the stenciled pattern and glue them in position to the card base.

To create my shaker I cut a piece of acetate slightly smaller than my panel, and used wet adhesive to strongly adhere it to the panel.  Once dry, I added a double layer of foam tape as a frame around each circle and around the edge of the panel as a whole.  I placed an assortment of embellishments onto the circles in the same rainbow clusters that were on each circle, so the embellishments track visually in rainbow order as well!

I grabbed multiples from my stash to achieve the rainbow assortment, some I have had for years!!  My one embellishment I placed into each window though was Whirly Pop Drops.  I thought the rainbow pattern mimicked the rays perfectly!!

Lastly, I colored the adorable Circus Bear and flag  from the Circus Bear stamp set using my Copic markers.  Such a sweet and easy image to color!  That poodle look exceptionally happy perched on the from of the bike like that!  I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and placed them on top of the shaker panel.  I used one of the sentiments from the set on a die cut banner from the Slimline Scalloped panels and Banners dies.  The main portion of the banner was mounted with foam tape, with the tails being glued directly to the shaker panel. That finished up the card!
