Pirate Ship Pendulum Card

Hello there, Christine here with a pendulum rocking card that uses the new Party Pirates stamp & die set. I used Jennifer McGuire’s tutorial to make the pendulum rocking card which I’ll link to at the end of this post.

I first die cut several 5 inch circles with a circle die I had in my stash and then cut a small circle in the center of the 5 inch circle I had cut out of light blue cardstock.  Instead of using a button as Jennifer does in the video, I cut a bunch of small circles out of cardstock and glued them together prior to gluing them to a larger circle.  The smaller glued circles were just slightly smaller than the circle in the center of the light blue back panel.  I adhered a strip of acetate to the stacked circles and adhered the die cut pirate ship on one end and a penny on the other end.

I stamped the pirate ship and parrot from the Party Pirates stamp set onto 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock and did some simple copic coloring. I then die cut the ship with the Party Pirates die set.
In order to allow the ship to rock back and forth, I added two layers of double stick foam on the edges of the water; the penny can now move freely beneath the waves.

I die cut 5 inch circles out of teal vellum and teal cardstock and then die cut waves into the circle with the Outdoors Borders and Scene Builders Slimline Die Set.

Thank you for stopping by!
