Mix it Up Monday: Happy, Happy New Year!

Hello Friends, Emily here from @popsofpaper! Happy Monday and Welcome to Mix it Up Monday. Today, in celebration of 2020 right around the corner, I’m sharing a little sparkle and shine using the Hello Senti-mini stamp and Hello Senti Mini Die Set along with the amazing Layered Fireworks Stencil for a Happy, Happy New Year card.

To create my card, I cut a black card stock panel to 4 x 5.25 inches. I taped the stencil to a mat (with the card stock panel underneath) and then used a pallet knife to evenly apply the silver glitter glitz across the stencil. I started stenciling from the top right corner and working my way across and down the panel repositioning the stencil to end with the bottom right corner. The silver sparkle  against the black cardstock looks amazing! For a little extra bling I added some stars to the center of the fireworks from the Black Tie Affair Embellishment mix.

For my sentiment, I die cut “Happy” from both silver and gold foil cardstock. Then I die cut the Happy shadow piece several times from black cardstock and stacked and glued them together for extra height. The New Year from the Happy Senti-Mini stamp set was stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with WOW gold embossing powder on a black cardstock sentiment strip. Then I adhered the sentiment pieces using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

To finish the card, I added a piece of silver foil cardstock to a white card base and then adhered my decorated card panel to the silver base. For a little extra pop, I added three large shiny black stars from the Black Tie Affair embellishment mix

I just love all the bling, sparkle and shine on this card! It’s a little celebration/party in a black shimmer envelope. I hope you enjoy and I wish you a wonderful start to the New Year! Cheers and Happy New Year!

Big Paper Hugs!
Emily
