May Sneak Peek – Day 3 – Toadally Rad Dad

Hello, Trinity friends and welcome back for day 3 of sneak peeks for the May release!! The entire release will be available for purchase on Tuesday, May 9th!!

I combined some previously released goodies with a couple of new products from the new release for my card today, which would be perfect for Father’s Day!!

I started by stamping the new Polkadot Pattern Background Stamp onto white cardstock with Goddess Green Ink. I die-cut the panel with the second largest die in the Clean Cut Layers A-2 Set A Die Set. I also die-cut a panel of green cardstock with the largest die in the same set.

Next, I used two dies from the Clean Cut Layers Circle Set B to die-cut circles from red and white cardstock. I dry embossed the white circle with a stencil from the Slimline Lots of Dots Stencil Set using an embossing mat in my die-cut machine.

I stamped the frog from the Oh Happy Day Stamp Set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink, colored him with Copics, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out. I found the “ally” as part of “really” in the Supporting Script Sentiments Stamp Set. It was stamped in Goddess Green Ink, then fussy cut.

I white heat embossed the new Rad Dad Stamp Set onto red and white cardstock, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. The letters from Modern Embossed Alphabet Die Set were cut from green cardstock and I added some accents with a white gel pen.

The background panels and circles were adhered to the front of an A2 card base with liquid glue.

Once I arranged the sentiment, I decide that “Rad Dad” would look better in red, so I stamped it again onto white cardstock with red ink and cut it out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered it on top of the red ones with liquid glue, slightly offset.

Most of the die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue, except the frog and “you’re the best”. They were popped up with adhesive foam strips.
