Love You – Sakura Blooms

Hello, Trinity friends!! I hope you’re all doing well!! I have a card to share with you today that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day or it could work any time of the year!!

I began by hot foiling the Sakura Blooms Cut & Foil hot foil plate onto Glimmer Specialty Cardstock with matte gold foil. I colored them with Copic markers and cut them out with the dies included in the Sakura Blooms Cut & Foil Set.

Next, I die-cut a panel of reddish-pink cardstock with the largest die in the Dainty Scallop Rectangles Die Set. I die-cut the Dainty Heart Cut & Foil heart from the same color of cardstock, along with another color of pink cardstock.

Next, I die-cut a panel of pink cardstock with the largest die in the Embossed Edge Rectangle Stack Set and a white panel with the third largest die in the same set. I used one the stencils in the Checkered Background Add-on: Hearts Stencil Set to dry emboss the hearts onto the white panel using my die-cut machine with an embossing mat. This adds a subtle texture to the background, without taking away from the focal point!!

“Love” and “you”, from the Simply Sentimental: Love Stamp Set, were stamped with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock using the “love” die and stacked them behind the stamped one.

All that was left was to adhere everything together! The scalloped rectangle was adhered to the pink A2 panel with liquid glue, then the embossed heart panel was adhered on top of that.

The hearts and floral spray were adhered with liquid glue, as shown. The “love” die-cuts were added across the floral and hearts and “you” was popped up with foam tape strips.

A trio of Pure Pearl Satin Bauble Embellishments was the perfect finishing touch!!

Well, that’s it for me today!! Thanks so much for dropping by!! Have a great day and I’ll see you next Thursday with a sneak peek of a new release!!
