Lily Pad Party

Hey all, Katie here today.   I wanted to share with a you a fun way to use one of the new mini slimline dies. 

The thought here, was to use this fun Mini Slimline Blossom Die to create the look of water, filled with lily pads.  I did  this by using some of that press and seal cling wrap when I die cut the blue layer to hold all the bits together and mounted that to my base.  Then I cut the green, pink and yellow separately, poked them out with my Pick-Up Stick and added them in, adhering to my base.  Once all that was set, I stamped the sentiment and frogs from the Oh Happy Day Stamp Set and cut them out with the coordinating Oh Happy Day Die Set.  I colored my frogs and bee with Copics and added white gel highlights, then mounted them to my scene using foam tape.  I added glossy accents to the frog eyes and bee wings and hand drew the bee’s flight path. 

Other than making sure all the teeny bits were in place, it was a fairly easy and fun card to make.  These goofy little frogs are super cute.
