Light up Pumpkin Card

Hello there, Christine here with a card using the new Pumpkin Shaped Card die set, the Simply Sentimental-Halloween die set and the Tag Slimline & More die set. It is an interactive card and lights up!

 

I first die cut the card base with heavyweight cardstock. I then die cut a front panel of the card in black cardstock to provide some contrast.  I die cut the orange pumpkin card panel using orange cardstock in my stash with the Pumpkin Shaped Card die set. I then further die cut this with the mouth, eyes and nose dies. Make sure to keep the negative cuts- I actually glued these onto the black shadow die cut using the positive orange panel as a guide (thinking it would look more realistic to have orange than black as the inside of the pumpkin).  I glued vellum over the mouth, eyes and nose to hide (was hoping it would hide it better) the wiring from the light-up mechanism. 

 

I die cut the eye and mouth shadow bits in a lighter orange, so that it would give a hint of depth. I added the sentiment as a tag using the Simply Sentimental-Halloween die set and the Tag Slimline & More die set. I hope that you like the card!
