Lettuce Celery-brate
Hello, crafters!! Brenda back with a simple, punny celebration card featuring the Lettuce Celery-brate Stamps & Coordinating Dies!!
I began by stamping the images in the Lettuce Celery-brate Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.
Next, I blended Lumberjack Plaid, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet Distress Inks onto a panel of white cardstock using Blending Buddy Brushes. I trimmed the panel and matted it with a wider panel of black cardstock and adhered it to a white A2 card base. I splattered it with diluted black dye ink using a paint brush.
The sentiment, also from the Lettuce Celery-brate Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die.
The veggies and party hats were adhered to the background with liquid glue.
I die-cut the sentiment dies three more times from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered them to the back of the black layer with liquid glue, then adhered them to the card base.
I’m a HUGE fan of punny sentiments and this one fits the bill!!
