Joy Christmas Mug Gift Card Holder
Hello, fellow cardmakers and crafters!! I hope you’re all doing well!! Brenda here today sharing a cocoa mug shaped card that doubles as a gift card holder!!
I started by die-cutting all the elements for my mug and gift card holder from aqua, brown and white cardstock using the Coffee Mug Card and Cocoa Mug Add-on Die Sets. I masked off the back side and the handle of the card base and blended a bit of aqua dye ink along each side with a Blending Buddy to add a little dimension to the mug. I also added shading to the dripping chocolate with brown ink and to the whipped cream topping with light gray ink. I added shine to the chocolate drizzle and dripping chocolate using Glossy Accents.
Next, I die-cut the top layer of the Big Joy Cut & Foil Die Set once from pink cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock and the bottom layer was die-cut from vellum. The snowflake was die-cut from white iridescent glitter cardstock, aqua cardstock and vellum using the Big Snowflake Cut & Foil Die Set.
A sentiment from the Insider Sentiments: Christmas Stamp Set was stamped onto white cardstock with pink ink and cut out with a die in the Coordinating Die Set. A tiny bow, from the Large Ornament Shaker Die Set was die-cut from pink cardstock.
Lace Stickles was added to the whipped cream for a little shimmer. All of the die-cut elements were stacked and adhered together using liquid adhesive.
They were then adhered to the front of the mug with liquid glue.
You can see the shine on the chocolate in this photo.
Lots of Perfect Pink Heart Bauble Embellishments were adhered to the snowflake.
The gift card holder die-cut, sentiment and bow were all adhered to the inside of the mug using liquid glue. A tiny Perfect Pink Heart Bauble was adhered to the center of the bow to finish off the card.
You could also change the sentiment inside the card and use it for a winter birthday!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I’ll see you next Thursday!!
