It’s rainbow season – happy everything!

Hi Everyone, Mirella here!  I am sure that you have seen the latest release already – do you love it as much as I do? I have a lot of new favourites, but the DIr-Tea Bunny is undoubtedly the winner in my eyes! The moment I had it in my craft room, I had to ink it up straight away, and I found it really tough to put it away, LOL!

For today’s card, I decided to opt for something cheerful, and what better way to cheer up your recipient than with a rainbow?

I used a very bold and bright rainbow patterned paper for my background, hence I opted to colour the bunny very delicately, so that it appears to be white – this way it stands out nicely, and doesn’t compete with the rainbow colour-wise. I created a little polaroid scene for my focal image, using the Frame and Fold die set. I also layered some grass in my scene, with the Scenic Border die set

To make sure that the bunny has a chance to stand out more against the colourful background, I added a layer of vellum.

I fussy cut my image, since I didn’t want the white boarder around it, and I cut little slits around the bunny’s paws, so he could hold his little mug. I also paper pieced the mug with a rainbow image from the same paper pad that I used for the background – I think it turned out wonderfully!

For the sentiment, I used two phrases – “It’s rainbow season” comes from the Springtime Sentiments stamp set, and “Happy everything” is from A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything – both sets are so fantastic and versatile!

Once I put my little scene together, and adhered everything to my card base, it was time for some final touches. A tiny amount of Glossy Accents on the bunny’s nose, a little boiled sugar heart, and a few rainbow rhinestones did the job.

I am truly delighted with how this card turned out, do you like it, too?

As always, the full list of supplies can be found on my blog, and feel free to browse around my blog and Instagram account for more Dir-Tea bunny inspiration!

Sending big rainbow-y hugs your way,
