I think you will see I love to mix and match stamps dies and stencils together and today’s card does just that!
This fun Happy Surf-Day card has me craving cupcakes! The gnome is catching a frosting wave on his way to a birthday celebration! I love creating cards with unexpected combinations, using multiple stamp and die sets. This shaped card is created with the Hey Cupcake! stamp set, Summer Gnome Fun stamp set with coordinating dies, and the Cupcake Card die.
I used my Trinity Stamps Card Making Sketchbook to get my idea and colors swatches down on paper. The last section is labeled Other Sketches and the pages are dot gridded. I was able to stamp the oversized images on the page for placement.
I colored the gnome and cupcake with OLO Markers. The frosting is colored using the Blue Green OLOs in BG0.7, BG2.4, BG2.3, BG2.1, and BG2.0. The cupcake liner is colored with BG7.0, BG7.2 BG7.3, and BG7.6. You can see both swatch blends in the Card Making Sketchbook photo.
