Happy Mail Magic Slider

CBK2

Hello everyone!  Today I’m here with another interactive card, a magic slider card that needs no fancy dies!  I learned how to make this card at Creativation this year in an Advanced Chibitronics card class taught by the amazing and funny Leslie Orman (Owner of Heffy Doodle Stamps).  Here is a videoof the card that we made. I decided I wanted to make one without the chibitronics today.    It is such a fun card to make because you truly can use whatever you have on hand, even if you don’t have a circle die.

  1. Cut an 8.5 inch by 4.25 inch panel and make a crease at 4.5 inch mark. Cut an 8 inch by 4.25 inch panel and make a crease at the 5.5 inch mark. Finally cut a 5.75 inch by 4.25 inch panel and crease at the 5.5 inch mark.  I used Neenah white cardstock for all the panels.  Cut two circles 1/2 inch from both ends of first panel (8.5 by 4.25 panel).  Cut one circle 1/2 inch from the second panel ( front bottom).  My circles are 2.25 inch diameter- anything that size or smaller is ideal.  See the photo below:IMG_3752

2. Adhere the panels (first and second) with the circles at the bottom only so that they line up.  Adhere the last panel (#3)  to panel (#1) as shown in the photo below:  This is probably best seen in a video and I’ll make sure to make a video in the future.

3. I did some simple stamping with Gina K black amalgam ink using the Mr. Snailman stamp set in the spots where the circles line up, followed by some simple copic coloring.  I used some glitter paste for the present and the heart and adorned the front of the card with Berry Blue Jelly Drop Hearts  from the Trinity store as well as the die cut Happy and the die cut Hello (both with their shadow dies).

Thank you for stopping by!
