Happy Dance-Happy New Year!

Hi everyone! Von Marie here from Vonmariedesign and I am so happy to be on the blog today. I have a New Years Slimline card tutorial to share with you. Pretty soon A New Year will be here and we will be hopefully all doing the Happy Dance.

I first started out stamping and heat embossing this fun image from the Happy Dance Stamp Set. I used Versamark ink with a navy embossing powder on a strip of white cardstock.

I then ink blended over my embossed image with Milled Lavender Distress Oxide ink, Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink, Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink, and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink. I used the Blending Buddy brushes until it was blended to my liking.

Next, I cut out my ink blended panel out using the largest tag die using the New Slimline Tags Die set. I also cut out a tag reinforcer. I then flicked some drops of Distress Mica Spray Hocus Pocus in a few areas on my tag for fun.

I then used the City Lights Slimline Layering Stencils. I just ink blended one of the fireworks with White Dye ink. I let it dry for awhile but I like that added interest. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set using Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder on Navy Blue cardstock. I then fussy cut the sentiment to fit onto my panel. The sentiment is added with foam strips. There is a coordinating die set and I will link that down below.

I then added my Slimline tag panel to a Navy Slimline card base. I used a Copic marker to draw a line for ground. Lastly, I added Amethyst embellishments, white accents with my gel pen, and a satin navy bow added with a foam strip. I hope you like it. It was so much fun to make.
