Guest Designer – Ashley Ebben

“Hello everyone! I’m Ashley Ebben, and I am back for another guest design post for Trinity Stamps this month! For my second card, I used the A Crafter’s Heart stamp set again, but this time I kept it as the complete stamp for my card instead of fussy cutting the images.

Don’t you just love all the rainbow goodness? This stamp is just so much fun to color and pairing it with the Sending Hugs die makes the perfect card for a crafty friend!

I started this card by stamping the large heart from A Crafter’s Heart in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink so I could color with Copics. Once I was finished, I added a few highlights with a white gel pen then trimmed the panel to be 5″ x 3.75″ (a quarter inch border all the way around). I added it to a piece of black cardstock so that only a very thin frame of black showed around the edge. I cut a piece of rainbow patterned paper from Sunny Studio’s Spring Fling paper pack and added my colored piece to the top.

I used the Sending Hugs dies four times to create a large sentiment. I did one cut each on black, pink, yellow, and blue cardstock. I glued the pieces together to create dimensional pieces, slightly offsetting the cuts on the word “hugs” to let the colors peek through. I grabbed a leftover strip of the rainbow paper and cut it with the stitched rectangle from Sending Hugs. I stamped a sentiment on it from A Crafter’s Heart and added it to the front of the card. I finished with a small scattering of Jellyfish Jewels for an extra sparkly touch.

Thank you so much to Taniesa and everyone at Trinity Stamps for having me! And thanks to you for stopping by! Have a wonderful, crafty day!
