CAS with Katie

Happy Sunday Friends!

I trust you are having a good weekend. I am. Got to spend some time with my family last night at a fun outing and it made me realize two things… 1- my family is wonderful, and 2- we are our own brand of weird. Lol. Which makes today’s card perfect for sharing.

Hopefully you get the gist and my sense of humor. 🙂

I made this card by stamping Mr. Weasly from the Magical Wizards stamp set. I used archival ink and watercolor paper. I them used my Zigs to apply color. I set him and his want aside to dry as I worked out my backdrop. I wanted him to be in front of a brick wall, so I used our Blendability Brushes, Fired Brick Distress Ink and Tim Holtz stencil to create the backdrop. I used a post-it along to the bottom to ensure I didn’t go below a specific point and then I used a black Copic pen to create my line.

Once my backdrop was set, I die cut it out using this oval die. I knew Ron and the wall would be quite enough to draw in the eye and kept it CAS and stamped my sentiment on the white base. So I mounted Ron (and his wand) using foam to give it a little dimension and then mounted that on the base. Lastly I added some of the Star Bright Embellishment mix for a little extra sparkle. Here is a close up to give you a little closer view of those embellishments:

Now, I must know if our family, like mine, is just a little….er….unique or different? I think we must all be and I embrace it!

Thanks for visiting! For a full list of supplies you are welcome to head to my blog for a visit.
