Belated Birthday

Hello, crafty friends and happy Thursday!! This week sure is flying by!! Brenda here with a belated birthday card featuring the Tardy Turtle Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies!!

I started by stamping the adorable turtle from the Tardy Turtle Stamp Set onto white cardstock. I colored him with Copics, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out.

Next, I blended Peacock Blue, Goddess Green, Sweet Petunia Pink and Bee Sting Yellow inks onto a panel of white cardstock using the Stars & Sprinkles Stencil Set and Blending Buddy Brushes.

I die-cut the ink-blended panel with the second largest die in the A2 Clean Cut Layers Set A Die Set, along with a panel of blue and green cardstock, which were cut with dies from the same set. The fourth largest die in the Dainty Scallop Rectangles Die Set was cut from white cardstock.

I die-cut the streamers from the Banner Builder Die Set from pink, yellow, green and blue cardstock.

The pink and yellow streamers were adhered to the front of the ink blended panel with liquid glue and the excess was trimmed from the edges. All of the rectangle panels were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue, then adhered to a white card base.

The sentiments, also from the Tardy Turtle Stamp Set, were white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I trimmed the “happy birthday” sentiment so it would fit in the area to the left of the stack of gifts. The turtle and the sentiments were all popped up with adhesive foam strips.

I added highlights to the turtle image with a white gel pen. Rainbow Glossy Glitter Enamel Dots in my color palette were the perfect finishing touch.

Well, that’ll do it for me today!! Thanks for stopping by!! I’ll see you next Thursday!!

Brenda
