An Ocean of Thanks

Hi there, crafty friends!! I hope you are all doing well!!

I have a pretty simple thank you card to share with you today!!

I started by die-cutting a panel of black cardstock with the second largest die in the Modern Embossed Rectangle Stack Set and die-cut the Island Oasis Die from the center.

Next, I blended Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink onto a small square panel of Bristol smooth cardstock.

I used a stiff bristled paint brush to stipple white gouache on the top of the ocean. This really made it look like the sun was reflecting off of the water!! Once that was dry, I adhered the ink-blended panel to the back of the die-cut one.

The sentiment, from the Whale Done Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto the black panel.

It was then adhered to an A2 white, top-folding card base.

Even though it was pretty quick to make, I still think it packs a punch with the black and white combined with the bright pop of color!!

Thanks so much for dropping in today!! Have a great Thursday and I’ll see you next week!!

Brenda
