2 Coloring Techniques To Try Next Time You Stamp

I have been having so much fun stamping & coloring the new Trinity Stamps Puddle Jumpers and Rainy Days Together sets and I wanted to share two fun coloring techniques that are perfect with these sets & more!

#1. Stamp In Color

I automatically reach for black ink when stamping images to color without even thinking about it BUT stamping in color and then adding more color can be so fun! For these cards, I stamped in a deep navy (Memento Paris Dusk) before coloring with Copic Markers. I love how the navy lines give the images such a fresh look!

#2. Color Selectively

Another fun coloring technique to try is to just color part of the image. This is a great technique when you are pressed for time but it can all lend a sweet storybook feel to your cards. They remind me of some of my childhood favorites like Dr. Suess!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  1. These are two fab techniques. The blue stamping is lovely, especially as you’ve used other tones of blue and red on the card. My coloring skills aren’t the best, so coloring part of the image is a thrilling prospect. Thanks for the inspiration.
