12 Days of Christmas: Day 8 (Mantle Banner)

Hi Everyone, Mirella here again. Are you having fun with our 12 Days of Christmas series? I am finding these super inspirational, and am saving ideas for next year for sure (I am not one for last minute projects, LOL!).

Trinity is celebrating the holidays with a 12 Days of Christmas Event.  Come visit us each day from Dec. 1st โ€“ 14th (excluding Sundays) for special posts each day on our Video Chanel and our Blog.

We will give away two $75 gift certificates AND two $50 gift certificates for a total of $250 in GIVEAWAYS!  It is our way of saying Happy Holidays to you and sharing our appreciation to our wonderful customers!

Winners will be chosen using Random.com from those who comment throughout.  The more comments you leave, the better your chances to win!  They will be announced between 12/15 and 12/20 on the blog and YT channel.

Today, I am sharing with you my Mantle Banner. It came together really really quickly, thanks to the wonderful Slimline Paper Pad – Holiday Trimmings. The hardest part for me was choosing the patterns to use…! Once I made up my mind, I cut the slimline panels into triangles – some full length, some slightly shorter. Since I felt bad about so many off-cuts, I decided to make use of some of them also, and I think they add a bit of interest to the banner.

I adhered all of my elements in a symmetrical way. I used some wide ribbon from my stash as the “base” of my banner. Once the paper elements were adhered, I added a bit of bling: the golden washi tape is from my stash. I didn’t really want to make the banner too busy (there are already lots of patterns), so I opted for adding a simple and classy “Noel” in the very center.

To make my banner more fun and festive, I adhered some red and golden jingle bells to the biggest elements – the sound is wonderful, but I fear that the banner won’t make it until Christmas, as my kiddos keep playing with the bells! ๐Ÿ˜‰

And that’s pretty much it! It came together really quickly, and it’s a surprisingly lovely addition to our Christmas decor – I was sceptical at the beginning, but once I I saw it around our mantelpiece, I actually really love it now!

What do you think? Will you be making one of those? By the way, thanks to the photos, you got to know two of our house Christmas Elves, and a little interactive gingerbread house that my 5 year old put together the other day – a bonus! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Make sure to comment here, on the blog, and on our YouTube channel every day, so you are eligible for winning our amazing prizes!ย

As always, the full list of supplies can be found on my blog. See you again in 2 weeks!
