12 Days Of Christmas: Day 6

HI Friends and Welcome Back to the 12 Days of Christmas! Remember to stop by each day from December 1- 14th for special posts each day on our video channel and blog. You won’t want to miss all of the inspiration and fun. Today, I am sharing a home decor piece that is easy to create with a few of my favorite dies.

I started my project by taking a trip to the craft store. I knew I wanted to use the Happy Snowman Die Set to create a home decor piece. I found a black wooden block piece that I thought would be perfect. It was inexpensive and although it had words on the front I knew that the words would be covered, so I went ahead and made my purchase. I also like that the background was a white wash color- so I didn’t even need to paint it.

I created my background with Distress Oxide Ink. I used Blueprint Sketch and Faded Jeans ink. I then used the adorable Happy Snowman Dies to create my snowman. So easy and fun to put together. For my snowbank, I used the Scenic Border Die Set. Once everything was die cut I added some white splatters to all of my pieces. When everything was finished, I used a strong liquid glue to attach everything to my wooden block.

I hope you enjoyed my project today. Home decor pieces are not something I typically create, but it was fun to use my dies to create something other than a card. This would make a great hostess, neighbor, teacher etc. gift. I hope I inspired you to create a few gifts this year. It’s fun and I know the recipient will appreciate the thoughtfulness.

Now for the Giveaway: We will give away two $75 gift certificates AND two $50 gift certificates for a total of $250 in GIVEAWAYS!  It is our way of saying Happy Holidays to you and sharing our appreciation to our wonderful customers!  Winners will be chosen using Random.com from those who comment throughout.  The more comments you leave, the better your chances to win!  They will be announced between 12/15 and 12/20 on the blog and YT channel.

Have a great week!

  1. Dana did such a fabulous job creating this home decor piece showcasing that darling snowman. Would definitely make cute gifts, too!

  2. Wow, I thought this was a card until I started reading your description. Very nice project! Maybe some day I’ll try to make a home decor project too.

  3. I love how tour post started with “ I started with a trip to the craft store” sounds like a great plan 😂 (hubby seems to disagree). Lovely work.

  4. This guy, or gal, is so cheerful. The arm position makes him look like he’s laughing. I had to chuckle… when you said snowbank I thought it was a bank. Now I need to figure out a picture frame that’s a bank too. Great idea. Tee hee.! Merry Christmas!

  5. This snowman ⛄⛄⛄is super cheery and I really like the contrast of the blue background with his sparkly, snowy body. Such a cute home decor item and I feel it is a success! Thanks for the inspiration!!!!😍😍😍

  6. This is a fun holiday decoration!
I don’t usually think to make these
either, but it would make a fun
gift for someone. Thanks for the ideas!
