Tool Box Gift Card Holder – Father’s Day Card

Hello, Trinity friends and happy Thursday!! I hope your week is going well!! Brenda here with a Father’s Day card that doubles as a gift card holder!!

I started by die-cutting all of the pieces of the tool box and tools from bright green, black and frosted silver cardstock using the Tool Box Gift Card Holder Dies. My hubby has a bright green tool box in his shop, so this will be his Father’s Day card from our two dogs!! We don’t have children, so I always give him something from our pups!! Anyone else do that? I adhered all of the pieces together (except the lid), popping up the two bottom drawers with foam adhesive strips.

For the background, I stamped the Double Line Check Background Stamp onto white cardstock with green dye ink. It was die-cut with the second largest die in the A2 Clean Cut Layers Set A Die Set and adhered it to a panel of black cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the same set. The lid of the tool box was scored and the back flap was adhered toward the top of the background panel. The tool box was adhered under it, adding adhesive only on the outside edges.

“Dad”, from the Simply Sentimental: Dad Die Set, was cut from green and black cardstock and adhered under the tool box with a combination of adhesive foam strips and liquid glue. The “Happy Father’s Day” sentiment is from the A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything Stamp Set. It was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered to the lid of the tool box. I added some tiny Stunning Silver Baubles to the casters and the vise grips to finish off the card.

I love how this is personalized just for my husband!! So much fun!!

Thank you so much for spending a bit of your day with me!!

Brenda
