Look Whooo’s Turning A Year Older

Happy Thursday, crafters!! Brenda back with you today sharing a festive birthday card featuring the adorable Hoot Hoot Hooray Stamp Set from last week’s release!!

I began by stamping the darling images from the Hoot Hoot Hooray Stamp Set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.

The Puffy Cloud Layers Stencil was stenciled onto a panel of white cardstock with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and a Blending Buddy Brush. It was die-cut with the second largest die in the A2 Rectangle Clean Cut Layers Set A Die Set.

Next, I die-cut a small piece of green cardstock with the same rectangle die and the grass border in the Outdoors Borders and Scene Builders Die Set. A Shading Sidekick Blending Brush was used to add Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink to the bottom of the die-cut. (These brushes are AMAZING!!)

The sentiment, also from the Hoot Hoot Hooray Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Dies.

The grass and the two owls on the left and their accessories were adhered to the cloud background with liquid glue and the branch was trimmed from the left side. The owl on the right and the sentiment die-cuts were popped up with foam tape.

A panel of red cardstock was die-cut with the largest die in the A2 Rectangle Clean Cut Layers Set A Die Set and the background was adhered with liquid glue.

I used a black glaze pen to darken and add shine to the owl’s eyes and a white gel pen to add highlights. Lots of Bubble Bath Baubles add a bit more shine and finish off the card.

That does it for me today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! I’ll see you back here next Thursday!!
