Happy Holidays – Snowglobe Shaped Card
Happy Thursday, fellow crafters!! I hope your week is going well!! Brenda back with a snowglobe shaped card featuring a few new die sets from the newest release!!
I started by die-cutting the Circle Shaped Card Die from heavyweight white cardstock and folding it along the score line. Next, I die-cut the elements in the Snowglobe Circle Card Add-on Die Set from holographic, aqua, tan and white cardstock. I added some shading with dye inks and Shading Sidekick Brushes.
The Tiny Christmas Tree and Tiny Snowman Dies were cut from green, red, aqua, orange, light yellow, brown, gray and black cardstock. I also adding shading to the die-cuts with dye inks and Shading Sidekick Brushes, then adhered all the pieces together with liquid glue. I splattered the inside of the snowglobe (the sky area), tree and snowman with diluted white bleed-proof ink.
The sentiment is from the Simply Sentimental: Holidays Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies. The top layer of “holidays” was cut from red and aqua cardstock and the shadow layer was cut three times from heavyweight white cardstock using the Simply Sentimental: Holidays Die Set. I added a bit of shading to the bottom of the aqua pieces, then stacked and adhered all the layers together and inlaid the aqua pieces. “Happy” was stamped onto white cardstock with red dye ink and the Simply Sentimental: Holidays Stamp Set, trimmed into a narrow banner and matted with aqua cardstock. At this point, all I had to do was adhere everything to the card base. Everything was adhered with liquid glue, except the “happy” sentiment, it was popped up with foam tape. I added a bit of Star Dust Stickles to the star, ornaments, berries, nose, buttons and aqua pieces of the sentiment to finish off the card.
Everything about this card makes my heart sooooo happy!! You know I love shaped cards and this may be one of my favorite shaped cards that I’ve ever made!!
