Grateful – I Appreciate You

Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda back with you today!! I’m sharing an autumn card combining a few older sets that I wanted to revisit!! Although the temperatures are in the nineties here in the midwest this week, the trees are starting to change!! It makes me so excited for cooler temperatures!!

I began by stamping one of the trees in the Beautiful Bare Trees Stamp Set onto a panel of white cardstock with brown ink. (I don’t see this stamp set in the store, but the Beautiful Bare Trees Coordinating Dies could be used to cut out the tree trunk instead.) I used the Foliage Layers Layering Stencils with Distress Inks and Shading Sidekick Brushes to add the leaves and the ground. I used Rusty Hinge, Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed, Seedless Preserves and Peacock Feathers. The panel was die-cut with the second largest die in the A2 Clean Cut Layers Rectangles Set A Die Set. I blended Speckled Egg Distress Ink along the outside of the panel.

Next, I die-cut a panel of brushed metallic gold cardstock with the largest and third largest die in the A2 Clean Cut Layers Rectangles Set A Die Set. I die-cut the center out to save it, since I only needed a mat for my main panel.

The top layer of the Grateful Sentiment Die was cut once from brushed metallic gold cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The shadow layer was cut from vellum.

The sentiment from the Simply Sentimental: Thanks Stamp Set was gold heat embossed onto the background and it was splattered with diluted metallic gold ink.

The tree background panel was adhered to the gold frame, then added to an A2 white card base.

The “grateful” die-cuts were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue, then added to the front of the card.

A sprinkling of Gold Satin Baubles was the perfect finishing touch.

I love all these colors together!!

That does it for me today!! Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Brenda
