Blow it Out

Hello crafty friends and happy Monday! Silvia’s here with you today with a rainbow birthday card.

I started cutting a panel from white cardstock and I colored it using the “Starstruck” stencil and the new shading sidekick blending brushes with spiced marmelade, kitsch flamingo, lumbrjack plaid, broken china and mowed lawn Distress Oxide inks.

I darkened edges with vintage photo Distress Oxide ink, I splattered with clean water and white and gold acrylic paints and I set it aside.

I then used the “Cut the Cake” die set to cut the cake and candle silhouettes from white cardstock and I colored them using the “Cake Layers” stencil and lumberjack plaid, wild honey, rusty hinge, salvaged patina, scattered straw and kitsch flamingo Distress Oxide inks.

I also decided to add some rainbow confetti on the cake and to do it I used the “Sprinkled Border” stencil and I added some sugar icing with Distress Snowfall paste.

I glued the cake on the cardbase with liquid glue and I used a gold glitter paste to add the “light” behind the candle using the “Cake Layers” stencil.

For the sentiment I used the new “You Take the Cake” die set. I cut the words from gold glittered cardstock and the outline from vellum and I glued all together.

I added some confetti from the “Celebration Dots Confetti Mix” here and there and that’s all.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you’ll enjoy the card.

Have an amazing new week. Big hugs, Silvia.
