Sea You Soon – Tiny Island
Happy Thursday, crafters!! Brenda back with a tropical card featuring the Tiny Island Die Set from last week’s release!!
I started by die-cutting a panel of white cardstock with the largest die in the A2 Clean Cut Layers Rectangle Set A Die Set. I blended it with Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Lumberjack Plaid Distress Inks using Blending Buddy Brushes.
Next, I die-cut another panel of white cardstock with the same rectangle die and die-cut the waves in the Tiny Island Die Set from it. I blended them with Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass Inks using Blending Buddies, then splattered them with diluted white bleed-proof ink. They were adhered to the bottom of the background panel with liquid glue.
The palm trees, island and sailboat in the Tiny Island Die Set were die-cut from tan, green, red and white cardstock and the clouds in the Cloud Companions Die Set were die-cut from white cardstock. I added some shading with Vintage Photo, Rustic Wilderness, Lumberjack Plaid and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks using Blending Buddy and Shading Sidekick Brushes. The island was splattered with diluted inks and I stippled some white ink onto the bottom of the boat.
The sentiment, from the Sea You Soon Stamp Set, was stamped onto the bottom of the background with black pigment ink.
All of the die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue and this card was finished.
