Easter – He Is Risen

Hello, crafters!! I hope you’re all doing well!! Brenda back with an Easter card featuring the Empty Tomb Die Set and the Simply Sentimental: Easter Stamps & Coordinating Dies!! I can’t believe Easter is two weeks from Sunday!! Where is this year going?!?

I began by ink blending my background onto an A2 panel of white cardstock with Distress Inks. I applied them to the top part of the panel with Blending Buddy Brushes using Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet inks.

Next, I die-cut the Empty Tomb Die Set from black and two shades of gray cardstock.

The top layer of “Easter” from the Simply Sentimental: Easter Die Set was cut once from black cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The shadow layer was cut from vellum, then the layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue.

The Empty Tomb die-cuts were adhered to the background panel with liquid glue.

The sub-sentiment, from the Simply Sentimental: Easter Stamp Set, was stamped directly onto the background with black pigment ink.

The “Easter” die-cut sentiment was adhered to the background with liquid glue and this card was finished.

I love the contrast of the black and gray with the bright colors!!

Thank you so very much for dropping by today!! I appreciate your time!! Have a terrific Thursday!!

Brenda
