12 Days of Christmas Tags – Day 2
Happy Thursday, crafty friends!! Brenda here for day 2 of the 12 Days of Christmas Tags series!! I love using my stash to create tags for the holidays!! We give a lot of gift cards to my family, so I decided to make my tag a gift card holder, as well!!

I started by stamping the single snowman from the Snow Stacks Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored it with Copic markers and used the Coordinating Die to cut him out.

The Zip Gift Tag Die Set was used to create the tag. I die-cut the tag from gray snowflake patterned paper, heavyweight white cardstock and red cardstock. I also die-cut the tag again from white cardstock and die-cut the “for you” sentiment from the middle. I trimmed the top white panel down, then trimmed the red cardstock slightly larger. All of the tags were adhered with liquid glue, adding glue only on the sides and the bottom behind the red layer, creating a pocket for the gift card.

The sentiments are from the Holiday Gnome Stacks Stamp Set. “To: and From:” were stamped directly onto the tag with black pigment ink. “Merry Christmas” was stamped onto red cardstock with Versamark ink, embossed with white embossing powder, then cut out with the Coordinating Die.

The snowman and “Merry Christmas” sentiment were popped up with foam squares.

I added a red polka dot bow and red and white twine to the top of the tag. I also die-cut a tiny heart from the Bitty Tags Die Set from red cardstock and tied it on with the twine.

A white gel pen was used to add some highlights and details to the snowman.

Light blue snowflakes from the Frosty Snowflakes Sprinkles Embellishment Mix were the perfect finishing touch.

Now I have a creative way to give a gift card to one of my family members!! It just makes it a bit more special, don’t you think?!?
Thank you so much for spending part of your Thursday with me!! Have a great weekend!!
