You Rock! One Stamp, Three Ways with Designer Emily M!

Hello Friends and Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Emily @popofpaper here today with three Greeting Cards using one Spring Release Sneak Peek stamp set. All new release products will be available in the Trinity Stamps shop on April 10th.

Since I love coloring in rainbows as it provides a little extra whimsy and happiness to my days, I not only used the one 3×4 You Rock Stamp Set Illustrated by Love, Dani Studio but also incorporated a rainbow into each card. The You Rock Stamp set is small in size but big in style with a classic cassette, fun word art sentiment and musical notes.

Musical Birthday Card

For my first card, I stamped the musical note images in rainbow color down the side of a white card stock card panel. For the Cassette, I colored the stripes with a few Copics. Then I stamped Happy Birthday from the soon to be released A Sentiment for (Almost) Everything stamp set. I adhered the Cassette with foam tape into the musical notes and then for a little extra pop I added rainbow rhinestones to the musical notes, along with small and big star embellishments. Behind the decorated card panel, I added a piece of rainbow pattern paper from my stash.

Tie-Dye You Rock

Back in the day, when your cassette decided to jam and left you with tangled tape that you wound back together with a BallPoint pen or pencil…wouldn’t it have been so cool if the tape left you this awesome You Rock Sentiment. LOL!

For my sentiment, I went for a tie-dye rainbow coloring effect using rainbow Copic colors and after each color was applied I used both colors to blend them together. For the cassette, I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with my N4,5 & 6 Copics and for the Rainbow stripe I used R27, YR04, Y06, Y15, G03/05, B02 and V05 . Then I fussy cut and adhered the cassette to the You Rock sentiment. For a little extra pop, I added little star embellishments.

You Rock my Heart

For my last card, I stamped the cassette image several times to create a background. I added the Happy Birthday sentiment from A Sentiment for (almost) Everything (releasing on April 10th) to the cassette titles. Then I colored the rainbow with PrismaColor Pencils. I die cut two hearts from the Nesting Hearts die set and stamped You Rock to the smaller heart. I adhered the hearts together and then added to the cassette rainbow background.

So there we are friends, three rainbow-themed cards using the soon to be released You Rock Stamp Set. I hope you enjoyed my cards today and it inspires you to stretch your stamps in fun new ways…and brings a little rainbow to your crafty days.

Big Paper Hugs!

Emily

  1. Definitely think I’m going to need this fun set! It’s taking me back in time when my boyfriend made me a mixed tape. Love these cards!
